Taylor Swift is giving fans the inside scoop about her role in Selena Gomez's wedding to Benny Blanco.

The "Fate of Ophelia" singer stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (October 6) where she revealed how she gave a speech at the September 27 wedding in celebration on the newlyweds and denied rumors that she told Gomez that she "beat me to the altar," per People. While Swift herself recently got engaged to fiancé Travis Kelce, she said she made sure not bring up her own love story while honoring her friend's.

"I did make a speech, but I actually made a point not to mention anything about my engagement," she confirmed.

However, what she did do, in typical wedding speech fashion, was throw in some light ribbing to her longtime bestie, Page Six reports.

"I did do some light teasing about the way we used to dress in 2008 — the year we met. Because we met when we were teenagers and 2008 was quite a year, let me tell you," she said, adding, "I talked a little about 2008, how happy I am for her and how beautiful it's been getting to be a part of her life, but I didn't not make it about me."

The "Opalite" musician gushed over her friend, noting how she "got to see her be the most elegant, gorgeous — not only bride but just, vision that I've ever seen in my life," adding, "I've never seen anything so beautiful as her on her wedding day."

On Monday, the Rare Beauty founder celebrated her own friend's accomplishment following the release of her new album The Life of a Showgirl by sharing a sweet video of Swift hyping her up before she walked down the aisle.
