Miley Cyrus Sings With Cody Simpson At Charity Event After Vocal Surgery

Weeks after her vocal chord surgery, Miley Cyrus put her singing skills on display when she joined boyfriend, Cody Simpson, and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, during a charity event by her Happy Hippy Foundation at My Friend’s Place in Hollywood.

In a video, which was shared on Cyrus' Instagram account on Friday (December 13), the pop star, 27, was seen sitting next to Cody, 22, and Billy Ray, 58, for a rendition of "Old Town Road." Little sister, Noah, mom, Tish, and a teen musician on the clarinet were also part of the jam session, which included a performance of "Silent Night." "@happyhippiefdn holiday party @myfriendsplace was a success once again," the chart-topper captured the post. "Always blown away by the young people I meet at MFP! There is always so much love and talent! Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special time of year with HH!”

Cyrus has been on vocal rest for some time, including her low-key 27th birthday celebration in late November. In October, the star was hospitalized for tonsillitis, before undergoing surgery and remaining silent for weeks. Simpson proved to be a good support system for the star by remaining by her side throughout her recovery process. At the time, a source close to Cyrus assured that she was "doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year."
