Only 1 in 10 Americans have NOT been scammed!

Apparently only one in 10 Americans have NOT been the victim of a scam. Whether it’s complete fraud, identity theft, a data breach or social media hacking, if you haven’t experienced it you might want to double check.

New research found sadly that the most common digital threat people have fallen victim to is falling for a romance request to transfer money to someone they’ve never met. Of course a close second is having your social media accounts hacked.

Experts recommend: Never engage financially with anyone who has contacted us. Whether through an email or by a phone call or text. Changing passwords every 3-4 months is also advised. They shouldn’t all be the same either. As for keeping track of them, that is done the old fashioned way. You can write them down. The odds of someone breaking into your home to steal a day planner or a note pad is pretty slim.
