This is the one I want to try first although because of dietary issues we may need to switch the apples with bananas. What about quick healthy lunches? If you have any ideas please let me know...
Overnight Apple OATS
¾ c old-fashioned oats
¾ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbls brown sugar
½ - ¾ c milk (or milk sub)
⅓ cup applesauce
1. MAKE THE OATS: In a 1-pint mason jar, mix the oats with the cinnamon and sugar to combine.
2. Add the milk to the jar. (If you prefer a thicker oatmeal, use less milk.)
3. Put the lid on and refrigerate overnight, about 8 hours.
4. MAKE THE TOPPINGS:In the morning, top the oatmeal with applesauce. Eat immediately or screw the top on and take it on the go.
