Ready to make Halloween the Last Saturday in October?

It’s not too early to start thinking about Halloween, is it? …Thousands of people have signed a petition asking the President to move Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday in October (this year that would be October 26th), in order to make trick-or-treating a lot easier on parents and kids and more fun for Halloween party people.

However, there is a problem with this plan. Halloween isn't a federal holiday. They should probably petition the Pope to move All Saints Day to the last Sunday in October, rather than November 1st. But of course they only put it on November first to coincide with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). So we need to ask Ireland to move their new year celebra... Wait they have so all we have to do is start moving our events to catch up! Hey, the Halloween parade is already there!!!
