Electric Road to Recharge Trucks

World's first road that recharges electric trucks as they drive has opened.

In Sweden, ahead of the country's plans to have a fuel-free transport system by 2030, they have tested a road that runs over a mile near the Stockholm Airport. It works similar to a New Orleans trolley. There is an arm that comes from the bottom of the truck that conducts electricity off the strip in the road. Only the new version of vehicle can hold a charge and therefore can turn off a road at any point, unlike our trolleys.
