Many of you have heard the story of my daughter, Erika. She had a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 21, and was literally at death's door. But she didn't give up on life, or (most importantly) LIVING life. She has been in a wheelchair ever since, since most of her motor skills were lost. NOW, Erika is bound and determined to remove herself from the wheelchair and walk before her birthday after Thanksgiving. She has learned how to stand on her own, then walk with assistance. Yesterday, it was a HUGE step (literally) to tackle the stairs, which she did! #soproud #inspiring
