A fitness blogger who can go from washboard abs to looking like an expectant mother, due to an IBS attack, reveals her remedies to keep the bloat away. She suggests we add a bit of peppermint extract and fresh mint leaves to a smoothie. It helps calm the stomach and aids digestion. Apple Cider Vinegar is number one on her list. A sugar binge is really bad for the digestive system but ACV has a way of balancing things out.
Beat the Bloat Beverage
In a mixer add
2 tablespoons organic, raw apple cider vinegar (ACV)
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3–4 ice cubes
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
2.5 cups of water
Blend together. Pour into glasses and drink immediately. (Margie’s Note: ACV is nasty tasting no matter what you do to it but it really works. I recommend not giving yourself more of a “slightly less” nasty drink. Instead just toss down the 2 tablespoons straight like a shot.)
