Foods to avoid before and after a workout!

What food we should NEVER eat before or after a workout! 

Ditch the salad, avoid sports drinks - and don't feel so bad about a post-gym beer. That is according to according to one sports nutritionist. They recommend that we eat a light meal or nothing at all before exercising. This is so that the body will be more focused on burning fat than digesting food. However, eating vegetables before a workout can place a high demand on digestion. 

Post workout our bodies are busy regaining energy and rebuilding muscles. That’s why they recommend easy to digest protein but we should avoid fatty foods as they are not very helpful. 

Sugar sweetened sports drinks and energy bars have actually been linked to weight gain. Surprisingly, a salad is not recommend directly after a workout either as they usually do not contain enough of the calories the body needs.
