Makeup wipes are pointless for washing our face - and could even do more harm than good!?!
Experts warn makeup wipe removers could be damaging our skin. The cloths can leave behind residue, dehydrate skin, and cause allergic reactions. They add makeup wipe removers shouldn't be a substitute for facial cleansing.
They are really only good when helping to remove lipstick and eye makeup. But otherwise they barely make a dent in the layers of makeup and bacteria on our skin.
Beyond that they can cause irritation, breakouts and premature aging. One expert explained that without the use of water they wipes essentially just move dirt around the face.
