Vitamin D, also known a the 'sunshine supplement', according to a new study returns sufferers' of IBS to normal.  Irritable bowel syndrome has previously been linked to depression and anxiety. The theory behind the benefits of Vitamin D is that it is an anti-inflammatory, which may ease discomfort from IBS and that helps boost their mood. While dairy has vitamin d, for many, that is not an option. It can also be found in eggs, salmon, and tuna. If you are vegan a supplement may be needed. Of course your doctor would know best.
