Angry people die sooner: Just one of ten reasons why you should try to keep your cool, according to scientists.
Angry men aged 20 to 40 more likely to be dead in 35 years than calm ones. Researchers from Iowa State University believe the frequent release of adrenaline during periods of stress damages DNA, which could lead to life-threatening illnesses. In the short term grumpy people don’t sleep well, have frequent headaches, get sick more often and are often anxious and depressed. But the answer is not to suppress your anger as that leads to even more problems. Instead they recommend it should be released or defused through exercise, meditation, yoga and when necessary therapy.
