WATCH: South LA Football Team Surprises Coach With New Car!
It was a special trick play from Lafayette Christian Academy's football team. It certainly caught Assistant Football Coach Skip Babineaux off-guard.
For this coach who is known for going above and beyond, members of the LCA community told a Lafayette TV station he would often drive players to and from practice -and football games- without hesitation. When a couple of players found out Coach Babineaux's current vehicle was in need of repairs, they set up a Go-Fund that raised over $12 thousand to purchase a new vehicle.
Coach Skip Babineaux's passion is to develop players; teaching them to work their hardest to become young men of good character on and off the field. Now, it's apparent that a great deal of generosity has also been taught. That point was driven home yesterday. For sure.
