(Watch & Hear) The Quietest Moment EVER in Tiger Stadium After 9-11

Under normal conditions, the LSU Golden Band From Tigerland will cause Tiger Stadium to errupt with ear-deafening noise from the crowd. It's been that way for decades. But not on this date.

It was October 6, 2001 and the very first home game in Tiger Stadium after the 9/11 attacks. That was a moment in time when 92,000 fans went "dead silent," according to now retired Director of Bands Frank Wickes. "In the haltime show-in tribute to all those who lost their lives in 9/11-we knelt down on the field, took off our hats, and played 'Amazing Grace." This still gives me goosebumps even now.
