The 2019 fall semester is set to begin at LSU, and the University’s Department of Residential Life will welcome students on Move-In Day, on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in all on-campus residence halls.Move-In Day, on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in all on-campus residence halls.

The anticipated 4,000 new students moving to campus this day will be joining the nearly 1,000 students who will already be on campus for early arrival programs, and 2,600 upperclassmen in on-campus apartments. The 7,600 students living on campus this fall is the largest resident population in campus history, made possible by the opening on a new 400-bed residence hall, Cedar Hall. Volunteers will line the sidewalk outside to help to newcomers. Might even see a football player or two.
