TODAY is National Relaxation Day! Now, if you're responding with something like, "yeah.RIGHT," then this day is especially important. Not because things are supposed to be relaxing on this day. It's because the busy, stressful things of life can be managed by slowing down and reducing stress.
Easier said than done? All it takes is a mindset and an intentional choice to relax. That's why the American Heart Association is trying to spread the word with National Relaxation Day today. As they tell us, "long-term activation of your body’s stress response system may put you at risk for health problems. Luckily, small changes to reduce stress and relax are easy to try.”
