You probably know about (and/or used) the Facebook Face App that is using artificial intelligence to show users how they would appear in 50 years. The Russian developer is seeing this going viral; getting financial rewards because of the success. But people in legal circles paint a different picture. They contend giving them a profile pic equals a sacrifice of identity and personal information. But the popularity is not going away. Even with Russian influence.
I personally stayed away from that app, and not because of legal warnings. I'm already old, so adding 50 years to my picture will have me look like the Crypt Keeper, Instead I prefer this challenge/prank to offer financial reward for doing something silly, yet painful. "Contestants" can catch the money or credit card sliding down a door or wall with their head. If they succeed, they can keep the money, or a one-time use of the credit card. The joke usually is on the one who bangs their head up against a wall, because the odds are against a catch. But the trick can backfire, as this dad found out with his son.
