Train your mouth to like bitter food!?!

Is it possible to train yourself to like healthy but bitter Brussels sprouts? Well sure some would argue in South Louisiana we can make any food taste great but still a lot of the healthier foods get shoved off the dinner plate because they taste bitter. Turns out our saliva can make bitter food taste better if we have a lot of it…the more saliva we have the more we are able to bind bitter notes to more comforting proteins.  A week of training was all it took to make the change to enjoying healthier bitter tasting food.

So how do you do it? Apparently drinking chocolate almond milk daily for a week. Wow, that doesn't seem that hard to do. It is the bitter flavor of the drink that weekends your bodies sensitivity to bitter flavors from anything.
