Thanks to trendy diets, women especially, are lacking vital nutrients like iron, calcium, iodine, potassium and copper. They have found because fad ‘exclusion’ diets that cut out entire food groups are leaving the dieters fatigued, with weakened immune systems, higher potential for broken bones, muscle problems and even infertility.
The main culprits are diets that eliminate meat and fish or cut out ingredients such as gluten, dairy, or grains. None of which would be all that bad if care were taken to find the necessary nutrients they provide somewhere else.
