Why we should pass on sweet tea.

Adding just two-and-a-half teaspoons of sugar to your tea DAILY increases your risk of Alzheimer's by over 50%, a can of soda every day raises the risk by 33%. Too much sugar in any form - fruit juice or lemonade, is linked to type 2 diabetes.

I wish I could show you the sad decline I am witnessing in my dad. Once the strongest, funniest and kind man I ever knew he is now angry and frustrated as he loses various parts of his life from issues brought on by his type 2 diabetes. Simple things like bathing is taken for granted by most of us. For him it is a team task that has to be scheduled and arranged to accommodate other people's schedules.
