As little as 17 minutes of light exercise a day may have protective effect on our brains. A new study conducted by the University of Miami linked just about any mild exercise from walking to yoga or tai chi to better mental functions as we age. This mild exercise maintained or improved the speed at which our brain works. Future studies are set to look into what thinking abilities experience the greatest improvement with even more exercise.
