Could After-School Clubs be Harming our Kids?

A study has revealed the large amount of time spent out of the home is placing 'considerable strain' on families.

Researchers found 88% of children do after-school activities four or five days per week. Parents are feeling the physical and financial drain of their busy kids. While pressure from other parents as well as their schools have added to families feeling like their kids need to have a busy schedule. But, in the end it causes families to spend less time together at home. This is especially hard on toddlers that do better with more relaxed home time.

However, the experts note healthy “family time” at home does not mean every member staring at a screen.
