A healthy use for Tobacco!!! The plants are being used to grow human skin proteins for a new way to treat tendon injuries like tennis elbow. In the new experiments the plant, that grows quickly, has been genetically engineered to produce leaves with collagen (the main part of our body's connective tissues that works with tendons, ligaments, bones and skin.) The body’s own blood is mixed with the plant’s collagen making it more easily accepted back into the body. There is hope the treatment will also be used for healing chronic wounds such as ulcers, bed sores, and burns. Clear here for more
