Torrential downpours and coastal flooding is heading towards Louisiana and other parts of the Gulf Coast this weekend.
The developing storm system is forecast to begin today and intensify in the coming days.
The New Orleans, Biloxi and Gulfport metro areas are among those most likely to see the heaviest rain, with storms peaking on Saturday.
By Sunday, the moisture will have moved inland and combine with another storm system that could trigger numerous thunderstorms across the Lower and Mid-Mississippi valleys.
