THE BOYCOTT BOWL And Drew Brees' Letter To The Who Dats!

If you've been in South Louisiana long enough, you know we are always looking for a reason to throw a party. Even in disappointing times.  Like this moment in Black and Gold time.  To say the New Orleans Saints were robbed from a trip to "The Big Game," would be the underSAINTment of the year.  Since there are so many WhoDats looking for alternatives to watching the game between the Rams and Patriots, several people got together on Facebook, and kicked around the idea of and alternative event: The Boycott Bowl. When it was first announced, there were over 22,000 respondents of FB. It blew up from there. In fact, it is now officially a sellout for both pre-sale general admission and VIP tickets. Officials are saying the admissions at the gate Admission at the event will be "based on availability."

The festival will go from 12 noon until 10 pm, featuring chefs, bartenders, and an all star line-up of live music. Here it is:

CHOPPA (with a Choppa Style Dance Contest), Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs (Hit The Sean Payton), Partners N Crime, The Big EZ Band, Rockin Doopsie, Fred! from Cowboy Mouth (solo set), Flow Tribe, Dash Rip Rock and Grammy Nominee 5th Ward Weebie.

All money raised will go to The NORD Foundation to coach and equip the next generation of New Orleans champions.

Earlier this week, Drew Brees sent this letter to the Who Dat nation on Instagram. "I’ve spent this last week navigating the heartache and disappointment from the game. Some things within our control and some outside our control that caused us to fall short. So much of our motivation is to represent the Who Dat Nation with determination and resiliency. We want to play for you, fight for you, and win for you. You deserve that. The longer I play I realize that we truly are one heartbeat with our fans. Our success is your success. Our disappointment is your disappointment. We are inspired by one another to accomplish things far greater than what we could ever do on our own."

The rest of the letter is found below. We love our QB. And Whodat life coach.

And in case you missed this exchange with a rather pushy interviewer on ESPN was as cool on the air as he was in the pocket.
