WATCH The Weird Foods People USED To Eat At Thanksgiving!
Every year, my wife and I spend Thanksgiving at my brother-in-law's house in Kenner. The conversation with is always entertaining. And the food is pretty dang good, too. But there is one dish I spoon up the smallest amount possible. My mother-in-law's oyster dressing. Family members seem to love how she does it; so much so, they ask weeks in advance for her to make it. Me? My taste buds tolerate it, but don't break into happy song. I keep that take-or-leave it opinion to myself. Well, I guess until now. Don't judge me. Hey, at least I put it on my plate!
I'm thankful for the fact we have other awesome choices. As do many other families. And at the dinner table, you find many family and friends looking back at other Thanksgiving meals back in the day with fondness. But, if we're being honest in our memories, going old school may not be quite as good as we remember. I offer video proof below. See for yourself. (That hot beverage is??? WHAT?)
