Big Buddy Burger Bash

WHO:

Big Buddy Program

WHAT:

23rd Annual Big Buddy Burger Bash

WHEN:

Wednesday, February 20, 2013 6-8pm

WHERE:

Catholic High School, 855 Hearthstone, Baton Rouge, LA 70806

WHY:

The Big Buddy Burger Bash Scholarship fundraiser was established in 1990 to award deserving Little Buddies of the program with financial support as they pursued post high school educational endeavors. In 2002 the scope of the scholarship program was expanded to include our T-Steps students who gained acceptance into private or parochial schools to begin their middle school careers. Funds raised at the Burger Bash go directly to support the scholarship recipients. Over the past 22 years, more than 50 scholarships have been awarded to Little Buddies in need of financial assistance as they attend various colleges, universities and middle schools. Today we support three (3) scholarship recipients: one at LSU; two at SLU and one at Southern. We are also celebrating the December graduation of Big Buddy Scholarship Recipient Georgette Morgan. Georgette graduated from ULL with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Special Education Mild/Moderate (1-12) and an Alternate Certification -- Elementary Education (1-5)

DETAILS:
